A late passenger offers a brass comb instead of cash. Tomas accepts the crossing, only to find a white marker where no marker belongs and a harbour that has vanished from living memory.

A widower arrives with his lost wife's locket and asks Tomas for one more meeting. Their reunion forces the captain to discover what a passenger can reach—and what cannot be brought home.

A little girl in a patched cardigan waits outside Selene's shop for her brother. As the sun eats away her shelter, Tomas and Dev search an old survivor's memories for a landing they can reach.

Ada recognises the bell on Moth from an old ferry photograph. Tomas has to admit where he found it, while the steward explains why the island's shore has begun following his boat.

With the low road flooding, a father asks Tomas to carry his daughter to safety. A daytime crossing becomes a dangerous test, leaving Selene to organise an evacuation that cannot depend on Moth.

Tomas and Dev attempt an early return to the wreck. Familiar voices offer an easier answer, but a snagged line forces Tomas to choose between finishing the job and bringing his assistant home.

Dev sets a boundary, the island helps repair Moth, and Jonah agrees to wait outside the haunted channel. Tomas gathers the remaining passengers for a crossing from which he must bring nothing back.

At the spring tide, the old ferry looms over Moth. With a lamp marking the way home, Tomas must restore the bell, resist one last offer and let the drowned finish their journey.
