Romance · Urban

One room, a makeshift curtain and two families who think everything is fine. Tessa and Leon's temporary solution becomes a romance neither knows how to ask for.

One Room for Two

Tessa's new room has a bed, a desk and a view of a fence. It does not officially have Leon, the fellow scam victim sleeping on her exercise mat. Three nights should be enough to find him somewhere else. Then work is delayed, winter clothes prove inadequate, and a small act of help becomes another reason to stay.

Across eight complete episodes, a disastrous coat-shopping expedition, a celebratory dinner and a community supper pull two guarded strangers into each other's lives. Their families see only the good photographs. Their householder sees rather more, and a third toothbrush makes their fragile arrangement impossible to ignore.

Season One follows Tessa and Leon from a locked door to an invitation they can freely accept. Their secret living arrangement reaches a clear resolution, and so does the question beneath it: when shelter is no longer the reason, will they still choose each other?
