Denzil's first Friday back begins with a complaint about the tiles and ends with Miss Dell compelled to wash his headstone. Other small emergencies make refusing him harder than the friends expect.

Over eight episodes, One More Hand brings a lost box, an unfinished dress, a missed telephone call, and Denzil's daughter to the courtyard. As the friends repay what they can, they must decide whether wanting him near justifies keeping his bargains available. The season closes the haunting through a rule established on the first night: finish an honest game without supernatural help, and leave his chair empty afterward.
