The Voice Note

Nia Beckford knows her sister is dead. She held her hand before the funeral. Then Althea's voice arrives in her inbox, asking her to deliver a dress.

More messages are coming: eight Fridays, eight pieces of unfinished business. Recorded before Althea died, the requests were meant to bring two estranged sisters closer during a planned separation. Now they lead Nia from her Miami salon to Montego Bay, where a song, a borrowed key and a frightened woman reveal how little she understood the person she loved.

As Nia follows the favours, she uncovers a hidden relationship and a man who still expects silence from everyone around him. Finding the truth will mean facing her family's evasions, her own mistakes and the difference between protecting someone and deciding their life for them.

The Voice Note is Caribbean suspense about sisterhood, coercion, queer love and the ordinary conversations grief leaves unfinished. Each episode offers a complete dramatic movement while the season's central mystery builds towards a clear resolution.
